From start to finish, this was an excellent experience. This was my first time enquiring about botox or restylane or a facelift and I was nervous and excited about the possibilities. Dr. Churgin was confident, friendly and just plain easy to talk to. I felt comfortable with her right away. She listened closely to my areas of concern and addressed each and every one of them. My breast reduction is now 3 months post op and I could not be more pleased. For most of my life I have been very large breasted (40G) and always in pain. I was always ashamed of my appearance. I made an appointment several months back with Dr. Churgin and I never looked back. Dr. Churgin provides a level of care that you just don’t find anymore. AMAZING SURGEON
Dr. Churgin performed a bilateral breast reduction on me about two weeks ago. She is an amazing surgeon and I would absolutely recommend her, their is truly not one bad thing to say about my experience with her. She is kind and caring and after only 2 weeks post op I feel and look great! She worked hard to get my reduction combined with another breast surgeon in order to remove a fibroadenoma at the same time. She recommended this because she really wanted to do what was best for my health. l am 100 percent happy with my results and owe all my happiness to Dr. Churgin. I came across Dr. Churgin while reasearching more deeply into a surgeon with whom I had already booked a procedure with. After reading the reviews on my current doctor and comparing them to the rave reviews of Dr. Churgin I knew I needed to switch over to her practice. Upon calling to discuss with Doctor Churgin’s office, I spoke with Kathy who was beyond accommodating and put me in touch with Mrs. Churgin (the office administrator) who took the time to call and speak with me for almost 2 hours!! On the phone Mrs. Churgin answered all of my questions, provided me with advice, and even worked with Kathy to schedule an appointment with Dr. Churgin for the following day. When I went to the office I was blown away by the super friendly staff, the ease of filling out paperwork with Allan, and the cleanliness. I then met with Doctor Churgin who is the nicest, most thorough Doctor that I have EVER met. At no point did I feel any question was too silly to ask, or that I was being rushed. She took the time to take precise body measurements and fill me in on all possible options for surgery. Dr Churgin was/is very professional. I had MOHS surgery on the bridge of my nose and was concerned with scarring. Within 2 weeks there was not a trace of the 16 stitches. It is a year later now and unless pointed out, no one would know I had surgery. Just went back for another MOHS and I will see how this one looks after the stitches are removed. She, by the way, is a delightful young lady.

I saw Dr. Churgin for removal of my breast implants, due to deflation from breast cancer reconstruction surgery 19 years ago, and opted not to replace them. She is an excellent surgeon and was very precise and particular how everything should look. She listens to all of your questions and explains everything in detail. I recently wound up in the ER with an eye which had been split wide open. Dr. Churgin did a flawless job stitching me back together. The scars are hardly visible. Dr. Churgin demonstrated professionalism and interest on my case. She got out of her way to care for me seeing how stressed I was about knowing what I actually had. She did not just do her job, she got out of the way and was thoughtful/creative enough to do the procedure in a manner that I would not be left with scarring. My daughter was a breast size 38 H and she was bubbling out as that size was too small. She had a lot of pain in back and shoulders. Her posture was was rounded from the weight of her breasts and she has divits in her shoulders. We first sort the help of a physical therapist. After going for several months my daughter still felt the pain. We then decided to get some advice from a plastic surgeon and we thankfully found Dr. Churgin. I did not have high hopes that this would be covered with my insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield but Dr. Churgin and her staff, Alan and Kathy were so helpful. They were able to get the entire procedure covered. All I had to pay was a $25 copay. Today my daughter is so happy. She looks fantastic and best of all the pain is gone. I highly recommend Dr. Churgin and her staff to anyone .

Dr. Samara Churgin has performed over 4 closures resulting from Mohs Surgery for the removal of Squamous Cells resulting from sun damage. The last surgery, over 1 month ago, was under my left jaw line / neck line. The size of the wound was over 1/2 dollar. Today you can not see a trace of a scar, even if you look very hard. Dr. Churgin has amazing hands and impeccable skills of a plastic surgeon. I would not hesitate to refer Dr. Churgin to anyone.

I had a workplace accident in 2008 in which I injured my nose and needed surgery. Another plastic surgeon performed the first nasal surgery. I had difficulty breathing after that surgery and was not really pleased with my appearance. That surgeon ignored my complaints. Because I had several other injuries, I could not address the problems with my nose again for a few years. Finally I was able to take care of my nose and found Dr. Churgin on the web. Her reviews were phenomenal. Dr. Churgin operated on me and I am thrilled with the results. Immediatley after surgery I was able to breathe perfectly. My nose looks great! The tip is turned up and the nose is straight. Most importantly, I can breathe normally for the first time in many years. THANK YOU DR. CHURGIN FOR GIVING ME MY APPEARANCE AND BREATH BACK! This surgery has restored my self esteem. I forgot how to smile after my first nasal surgery and now I feel like smiling again. Also, Dr. Churgin’s staff was very supportive. By far and away, probably the finest doctor I’ve ever had the pleasure to interact with. Her “bedside manner” as well as her assistant Michael were completely professional. I had a intradermal benign tumor removed abd my arm was stitched. Two weeks later stitches were removed and you can hardly see the scar. I highly recommend her as well as this crowded office.

After researching a couple of plastic surgeons, I was glad I found Dr. chungin. Her entire stuff was great on working on getting my breast reduction approved by my insurance. My first consultation was an excellent experience, Dr chungin took her time on explaining procedure, very knowledgeable of her practice. Today is two weeks post-op and I feeling very happy with my results so far. Dr. Chungin have excellent bedside manner, her staff calls all time to make sure I’m ok and if I have any concerns they make sure I’m get an answer immediately. I had tummy tuck as well, very little pain, I stop pain medication after three days after surgery. I would recommend Dr chungin to friends and family.

There are not enough kind words to say about Dr. Churgin. From the initial appointment to follow-ups she is an incredible doctor. I had a bi-lateral breast reduction done about a month ago. I visited several doctors prior to visiting Dr. Churgin but I was still uneasy about the procedure. Dr. Churgin explained the entire process to me, gave me more options than any other doctor had previously, and worked with my insurance to get my procedure fully covered. The morning of my surgery Dr. Churgin was calm and reassuring. She explained to me everything that was going to happen, assured me that she was going to take her time, and let my parents stay with me up until the point I entered the OR. My surgery went well with no complications. A while after surgery my pain medication wore off and I had a period of time where I was waiting for my discomfort to subside. Dr. Churgin came back to the hospital after tending to other patients at her office just to make sure I was being taken care of and feeling okay. My recovery has been incredibly fast and I was able to start work less than two weeks post-op. I am so happy with my procedure and incredibly thankful for Dr. Churgin!!

Dr. Churgin’s professional services are beyond expectations. Their staff are unbelievable, especially Alan and Mrs. Churgin are the most caring person I have experienced in my life. You will be treated very professionally and they will hear all your concerns. You will never be rushed from the office as they are willing to help in everything related to your medical procedures . Dr. Churgin was the first doctor I saw for consultation and I didn’t need to see anyone else afterwards. I felt comfortable; Dr. Churgin and the entire staff are very friendly and compassionate. I felt like it was thr right choice. They also put in a lot of work to make sure my insurance company covered everything I needed, very attentative. I’m extremely happy with the results, I love my breasts more as time goes on…I also didn’t experience much pain which was great. First off I would like to say Dr. Churgin’s staff ( Kathy, Alan and Mrs. Churgin)is like no other. They are very compassionate , friendly and efficient. I was able to get a consultation, pre op and surgery all within a 2 month period, while maintaing constant communication with the staff. Now Dr. Churgin is one of the most polite, friendly yet professional doctors that I’ve come across. I was on this site looking for a surgeon. I found Dr. Churgin and read all the reviews. I made an appointment which was very easy, and met with Dr. Churgin. She was very nice, she knew her stuff and she answered all my questions. I felt very confident about my choice. The staff was very nice and helpful as well. The administrator was very helpful as well. She spoke to my family and explained everything to them as well, which I had given authorization and consent. I had my surgery a few weeks ago and it went very well. The administrator and Dr. Churgin returned all my calls no matter what time. Three year ago I injured my leg and I though I will never walk again . I was admitted at the hospital for a severe emergency surgery. Next day after surgery Dr Churgin saw me at the hospital. She had a positive attitude and very nice smile, she made me feel everything will be fine. I had several surgery on my leg for four month by Dr Churgin.
Now I can walk, run, and play basket ball. My friends and family said its a miracle. I had several follow up visit with Dr Churgin after the hospital, she was very patient with me and easy to talk to.
The staff are very courteous, friendly and the wait time at the office was about ten minutes. I would recommend Dr Churgin.

I was looking for a good experienced plastic surgeon to do my breast reduction. While looking online, I saw Dr. Churgin and other surgeons, but somehow, I decided to go to her. Most of my friends that had some reduction told me about their surgeons, but I didn’t like the results of their surgeries; there were too many scars. When I called Dr. Churgin’s office to ask about a consultation, the staff was so nice, I made the appointment right then and there. When I arrived at the office, I felt very comfortable. The office was clean and the staff was amazing. When I saw Dr. Churgin, I wasn’t expecting such a genius could be so petite, pretty, and sweet. She took a photo and explained everything to me so I could understand it. She told me what to expect and what she could do to make me happy, which I am. I gave my insurance information to one of the staff – with whom I fell in love, by the way. She told me not to worry and that they would take care of everything. When I didn’t hear from the staff for about 2 weeks, they called to let me know that they are still working with the insurance company. What I really appreciate is they never left me hanging and always kept me in the loop. They got insurance company approval with no problems. They were very direct with me in explaining what insurance would and would not pay I knew that I would be responsible for a deductible. As for the outcome – my breast reduction was a TOTAL success, I kid you not. My breasts are so perfectly done that my friends tell me I had implants instead of a reduction. As for post-surgery recovery, I was up and about in 4-5 days. I had just a little soreness, but no real pain to speak of. I am one of the happiest persons on earth with my breast reduction and lift, I very highly recommend Dr. Churgin to anyone who is considering a breast reduction, lift, implants or any other cosmetic or reconstructive surgery. I gave Dr. Churgin 5 stars in all 8 categories and she earned every single one of those stars.

I have consulted with several doctors for my upcoming hernia surgey/yummy tuck and Dr. Churgin is by far the best of all the doctors that I have met with. In 2011, I noticed a mole on my forehead. The mole became a source of irritation and in 2012, I decided that it had to be removed. For this, I went to Dr. Churgin because her partner, who is an orthopedist, provided wonderful treatment for my husband over the years. I am very glad I came to see Dr. churgin. Dr. Churgin took the time to reassure me that there should be no problem, but that she would have it biopsied, just to make sure. The removal of the mole was totally painless and the site healed so that no one would have reason to think it was a surgical site. Also, the staff was very accommodating and professional. I would recommend Dr. Churgin to anyone who needs plastic surgery and will definitely return should I develop a condition which requires treatment by a plastic surgeon.

Dr. Samara Churgin is one in ten million. It is not every day you find a doctor like her. Dr. Churgin is the most understanding , devoted ,compassionate doctor that I have ever had treat me. My insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield. It was impossible to get an appointment with any other doctor. I was told that I had to wait until Mid March. I then called Dr. Churgin’s office. I was so impressed with her receptionist who asked me all about myself. A few moments later I received a telephone call from her office giving me an appointment for the next day. Upon my arrival I was offered a beverage and a snack while I waited for Dr. Churgin.
Dr. Churgin treated me as though I was one of her private patients who would be paying a private fee for service. However how as I stated I am an insurance patient. Dr. Churgin even brought in her partner who does not participate in my insurance. He treated me for my back and leg after Dr, Churgin treated me for skin issues. I am so grateful that I have the peace of mind knowing that Dr.Churgin and her partner Dr. Arvan really care about me and are trying to help me with my myriad of medical issues. They did refer me out to other professionals who they know will be of assistance to me. I wll be returning to Dr. Churgin as soon as all my test results are back. Dr, Churgin gave me her business card and I told me that her private work mobile telephone number is on it. I would like to know have you ever met a doctor like Dr. Churgin??? I never did !!! After conducting extensive research online looking for a top surgeon who specializes in Rhinoplasty I time and time again was introduced to Dr. Churgin. My first phone call into the office was extremely positive and set the tone for the type of interaction I received throughout my procedure and presently during my follow-ups. During that initial phone call all my questions were answered and I was given lots of information specific to my situation. After scheduling an in person visit I walked into a very professional and state of the art facility. The office environment was very friendly and inviting. Dr. Churgin was very helpful in informing me about what could be done to my nose and very quickly understood my vision. It was also great that Dr. Churgin gives out her personal number in which she can be contacted anytime. To prep for surgery I was given medicine to help with post surgery. The surgery was an absolute success and now 2 weeks later the swelling has subsided substantially. The great thing about Dr. Churgin and her wonderful staff is that even though it’s not necessary to come in frequently post surgery she does not charge patients to come in for follow-ups. Her phone is always by her side and I have called a few times with questions and she answered them very quickly. There is no barrier between Doctor and Patient and I think that is a great relationship to have. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Churgin for surgery, specifically Rhinoplasty. She did an amazing job and I could not ask for more. In all honestly I felt like I was dealing with close friends rather than doctors and staff.

Dr. Churgin is by far the most talented doctor who has ever treated me. When I made my appointment, I knew that Dr. Churgin was a highly respected board certified plastic surgeon and general surgeon. I was so impressed with Dr. Churgin and her friendly staff on my first visit.
I had a myriad of problems with other plastic surgeons who suggested to me injections that were inappropriate for my treatment. Dr. Churgin, within literally a couple of minutes, was able to point out that my prior injections were ineffective. The products that the other doctors were using were inappropriate and not effective for my cosmetic needs. Dr. Churgin discussed with me all the viable products on the market today that she thought would be more effective.
I am astonished at the results. I look fantastic for my age. I feel 10 years younger. I look as though I were on a well-rested vacation.
I highly recommend anyone who is interested in an amazing, incredible, knowledgeable plastic surgeon who has the wherewithal and wisdom far beyond her years to diagnose and treat cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive procedures.

I went to Dr. Churgin for breast reduction surgery. I have dealt with chronic neck and back pain for years and had tried everything else to alleviate it. I was at the point where I could go to work each day, and take a lot of Advil and Aleve, and then go home and rest. I had no life outside of work because of the pain and the toll it took on me. I am now three weeks out of surgery and my pain is 90% gone. I feel like I can finally have a life again.

In April, 2010, I was hit by a car while I was working. I went to the local emergency room where the doctors determined that I broke my nose.Additionally, I had a great deal of pain because I also
had lacerations to my forehead. The doctors determined that I needed the attention of a plastic surgeon. Fortunately for me, Dr. Churgin was the plastic surgeon on call that day. She examined me and told me exactly how she would treat the problems and what I could expect. I was extremely impressed with the fact that Dr. Churgin did not keep me waiting. She showed up moments after the hospital called her to come in to see me. Dr. Churgin did the surgery and my results were even much better than promised. The surgery she did in restoring my nose was unbelievable. People who knew me before the accident told me i never looked better and the job was so natural looking, that if I hadn’t told them I had plastic surgery, the thought would never have occurred to them. This is exactly how I always envisioned my nose to look. I was so pleased with the care I received that I had Dr. Churgin do a chin implant on me to correct a problem from years back. Again, the results were spectacular. I now look better than I ever did and what ‘s just as important, I don’t look as though a plastic surgeon had ever touched me. Of course, the reason for seeing a particular doctor is for his or her expertise, but I must say that Dr. Churgin’s staff, like Dr. Churgin herself, is first-class all the way. First and Foremost I want to say thank you for what EVERYONE in the office did for me. They treated me like family. They are professional and are on top of EVERYTHING! Anything I needed for my surgery (breast reduction) they made sure I had. My insurance was being a pain, but that did not stop the office from getting what I needed. They fought for my procedure, it was a necessity. I am 5′ and had DD’s. That was just not working for me. I had waited years for this, of other doctors saying “NO” ” it’s a waste of time” can you believe that! Mrs. Churgin and crew was able to have this procedure done within 4 months. I’m in the healing process as of now, but so far everything is going well. Dr. Churgin is very knowledgeable about her work, She knows what she is doing. Her hands are like magic. The nurses even ran to help my sister after she passed out from seeing the blood draining from my incisions! ( this was post surgery) They put her on an upright stretcher and gave her some apple juice. They are very kind and caring. They even called to make sure everything was ok, not once but like three times! The only time I had a doctors office call me after a visit was for a payment. My liquid face lift has made me look and feel at least 10 years younger. I have shopped around for some time looking for a doctor to successfully recommend the right injections for my face. I have had botox,Perlane fillers,and juverderm injections, to name a few. I have spent a small fortune over some time on facial rejuvenation. Several of my friends switched to Dr. Churgin who is a Plastic Surgeon, from the doctors we were going to that were Dermatologists. The difference is remarkable. Dr. Churgin told me about products and procedures I have never heard of before my consultation with her. The Education that I received from her during my 1 hour consult was unbelievable. I am extremely pleased and thankful to have found a great doctor who spends the time going over every question, option and so willing to help you. I recently had a fracture in my right metacarpel 1 and with her extensive knowledge in multiple surgeries, she was able to diagnose it right away. She even went as far as referring me to a nearby doctor for blood work and other lab tests to make sure it was not just another broken bone. Her bedside manner is truly comforting and acts as more of a friend than a doctor.
Another injury I sustained occurred last year around the end of February. While on vacation I suffered from sebaceous cysts the size of grapes, which started in my right ear lobe and quickly spread to the left ear lobe as well. Upon my return from my vacation I went to the emergency room to get them drained. I was given a doctor out of my network and when she tried to continue to treat me the bills piled up, I was referred to Dr. Churgin by a friend and couldn’t have been more relieved. Not only was she an in network doctor but, she was a fantastic person. She took care of my cysts and changed my antibiotic to a much more effective one. She also scheduled me for many more office visits than I probably needed to make sure the scars were healing as they should. She is a fantastic plastic surgeon and it shows because if you saw my ears now, you would never even know there were once giant cysts inside it.
As a referral from me, my father required her services as well. He had cut this thumb and when he went to the ER the doctor available did a worse job stitching the wound than a blindfolded 4 year old. I told him to schedule an appointment with Dr. Churgin and he did. She removed his stitches and changed his antibiotic as well as going as far as again culturing the wound to make sure the antibiotic was appropriate.
The wait time (if you can even call it that) in the office is ridiculously fast. I think the longest time I waited before seeing the doctor was about 7 minutes. I’ve never had any issues there and the staff at the front desk are amazing as well. Everyone is delightful when you walk in and very anal about organization. If anyone is looking for an amazing doctor with a great bedside manner (which is hard to find these days) and a doctor who is multi-talented and trained in multiple surgeries, look no further! Dr. Churgin is your ticket to a great recovery!

Dr. Churgin is an extraordinarily skilled doctor who is compassionate and caring. As a result of a very serious illness, I required many operations over a period of seven months . Without the skillful care provided by Dr. Churgin, I would not have survived. .Dr. Churgin would always take the time to explain the upcoming procedure, She would answer any questions, put aside any fears and always in a positive and upbeat demeanor. Doctor Churgin is fantastic!! I recommend this doctor highly. She has a compassionate bedside manner and is patient, thorough and informative. She gave me plenty of time in the office, unlike many doctors that rush you out. The office staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Overall my visit was a wonderful experience. I will return as soon as I am in need of a plastic surgeon again.

I live in Manhattan, but while visiting a friend in Staten Island I broke my nose and was rushed to the local hospital there. A Staten Island plastic surgeon was brought in to stitch me up, and after visiting an NYU ENT the next morning the general consensus was that everything was fine and I should just let the healing take its course…
Luckily a week later, after doing a relatively extensive search online for reputable in-network Manhattan plastic surgeons, I had the good sense to contact Dr. Churgin for the stitch removal. Her credentials are truly superb, and I was blown away by the level of attentiveness, knowledge, insight and care that I’ve received ever since the first consultation. A very visible bump on the top of my bridge had become apparent once the swelling in my nose went down, but Dr. Churgin never once tried to sway me in a certain course of action. Rather, she laid out the facts for me on both sides, and ultimately I am very pleased with my decision to go through with the procedure.
Dr. Churgin always had my best interest at heart and quite frankly I could not disagree more with the below negative review, as I know that my insurance hardly pays her what other out-of-network patients’ would. She and her entire administrative team far exceeded my expectations in service and have treated me like family from start to finish.
Outstanding plastic surgeon, outstanding team, highly recommended.

Had surgery about a year ago and looking great. Dr.Churgin did a great job but… her office staff is terrible and waiting time is ridiculous. When I had an appointment my waiting time was an hour or more. The office misinformed me about a payment and now my credit is bad because they refuse to give me money that rightfully belongs to the hospital and not to them. I would have referred Dr.Churgin but because of her staff who has put me through so much I would not suggest it.

Wonderful experience with Dr. Churgin. Fell and had quite a bit of damage to my face, primarily the nose. The hospital ER didn’t seem overly concerned about the damage. Dr. Churgin reviewed the records and confirmed that my nose was indeed broken. Had surgery approximately a week later after abrasions had mostly healed and my nose now looks exactly as it did before. Very professional and caring. Follow up care was delayed by Hurricane Sandy and she made sure she got to the LI office to see me as soon as she could. I would definitely recommend Dr. Churgin if anyone I knew was in need of a plastic surgeon.

I came to see Dr. Churgin after a work related injury to my face. She was compassionate and thorough. She explained the entire procedure to me as well as the entire course of treatment. I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Churgin and her entire office staff. I was referred to Dr. Churgin by my primary physician and told me that Dr. Churgin is one of the only Board Certified Plastic Surgeons and Board Certified General Surgeons that accepts Worker’s Compensation Insurance. I am a union carpenter and I would recemmend Dr. Churgin to any of my coworker, family and friends. I was so grateful that she was able to take care of me.

was left with scar tissue above left eye after brow lift which I agreed to but was more interested in bleparoplasty. this was approx. 3 years ago. was never given explanation why this happened. I gave up trying to get an answer. had revision surgery on May 9 2012 but was unsuccessful although bump looks slighter smaller. meeting this doctor was my worst nightmare.my friend also had facelife with her and although he looks better his ear never healed.We are both suffering.

Dr. Churgin has been my plastic surgeon since Jan. 2012. She performed my initial surgery and now we are in the process of prepping for reconstructive surgery due to breast cancer. She is a dedicated, skilled, warm, knowledgeable surgeon. I feel confident in her abilities and am pleased with my results so far. I went to see Dr. Churgin for a second opinion after consulting with another well-known and highly respected plastic surgeon. That doctor was in and out of the examination room in minutes and, though he smiled and acted like he really cared, I still felt like a number. Dr. Churgin took the time to talk with me, evaluate the damage to my nose, and explain what the problems were and how she intended to correct them. I felt like she genuinely cared about helping me. My trust was not misplaced. When the bandages came off my nose was nice and straight and I could breathe through both nostrils once again. Now that the swelling has subsided I have my old nose back and I couldn’t be happier. The operation, though tricky, was a complete success and I was back to work in a week. I can’t recommend her enough and I hope she never gets jaded and loses sight of why she became a surgeon in the first place, to help people. The world is full of doctors that are in it for the $$$. It is unfortunate that there aren’t as many that genuinely care and want to help others the way Dr. Churgin does.
